Why Sell at Auction?
Bid taking is one of the oldest methods of selling known to mankind.  The advent of licenses and laws, the rising standards of Auctioneering, and continuing demands of the public to sell more real estate and personal property of all kinds, have combined to make selling at public Auction a very practical and inexpensive way to sell your property.

How soon will my items be sold?
Agents will sell your property at the earliest possible opportunity consistent with getting you the best price.  Consignment items can be sold at the next consignment auction in progress.  This may or may not be the best for YOU.  We will consider your needs and what is best for YOU before we sell.  The difference in a few days or weeks can mean big dollars to you.  In most cases, other than small consignments, it is best to have a minimum of two weeks for advertising to become effective.

What kinds of things should I sell at auction?
At Agents Realty & Auction Service we specialize in complete liquidation and dispersal of Real Estate, Personal Property, Chattels, Livestock, Machinery, Antiques & Estates.  We also offer consignment auction services.  No item is too large or small.

What will it cost me to have an auction?
Our fees are negotiable and vary based on your needs and the property you intend to sell.  Some examples are:
Typical Real Estate: 6%
Normal Consignments: 20-40% depending on value of consignment, hauling or handling, terms of sale, etc.
Complete Estates: 10%-20% depending on cost factors including advertising, special help, location and/or handling requirements, etc.
These percentages are offered only as examples and YOUR particular costs will be dependent on YOUR needs.

Will you include me in the auction you now have advertised?
This may be possible but remember, YOUR goods are not listed in the advertisement.  There may be time remaining for doing so, but other than consignment auctions, it is usually unwise to join an auction already in progress.

I don't have a truck, how can I transport my items to the auction site?
Agents has a pickup/delivery service available.  We sell on your site or we'll move your property to our site.

Should I help you sell my stuff at the auction?
In most cases it is best if you leave everything to Agents.  Everything Agents Realty & Auction Services touches turns to sold.

I still owe money on some items, can I sell them?
The law and common ethics require that any creditor having a lien or interest in items to be auctioned be notified.

Are there taxes on an auction and who pays them?
There are circumstances under which sales taxes must be collected during an auction.  Agents will advise you of when this becomes necessary and will handle the collection and payment of such taxes.

When will I get my money?
Agents offers the fastest settlement procedures available.  With the help of the computer, it is possible to settle and pay cash out within hours of a sale's end.  Although law and banking regulations require certain periods for check clearing, we will strive to reduce that time to a minimum.  We believe in fast, prompt and courteous service.
